Sandwich Rotterdam

From now on, Rotterdam also has its own sandwich. Not a standard cheese sandwich or avo smash, but Rotterdam as it should be: local, tasty and simply good. Rotterdam chef Pepijn Schmeink developed the recipes and with a maximum of four actions, the sandwich is on the table in no time.

The Broodje Rotterdam - also known as the RotterBammetje - consists of the following ingredients:

  • Crops from Landzicht Biologisch, an organic farm near Rotterdam that has been growing fresh fruit and vegetables with care and respect for nature for decades

  • Yellow pea from Klompe Agri, a family business that is convinced that healthy soil is the basis for healthy produce

  • Crops from Gebiedscoöperatie van het Buijtenland van Rhoon, a place where farmers, recreational entrepreneurs, nature lovers and associations show how things can be done differently

  • Jalapeno sauce from Van Gelder, an old-fashioned but ultra-modern family-run business that puts seasonal vegetables first

  • Peas cresh from Daphne's vegetable garden, where she grows microgreens, rich in nutrients and grown naturally and organically
