CSR Netherlands continues with a new name: Future Up. The change marks a logical next step for the brand, which was founded in 2004 as a 'knowledge and information centre for corporate social responsibility'. As the economy is changing, the organisation is changing with it with a new strategy and role. For instance, Future Up focuses on helping companies grow sustainably while remaining competitive. It does this with practical programmes, strategic collaborations and powerful public affairs.
"Today's economy is no longer that of the past. European developments and social problems make making business more sustainable more necessary than ever. This also requires a different role from us. And with that new role comes a new, fresh name. A name that also better reflects our mission in that economy: a business community where profit and positive impact reinforce each other," says Ankie van Wersch, CEO of Future Up, the platform for sustainable business.
Nitrogen, agriculture, grid congestion, sheds full of discarded textiles; Dutch business plays a key role in solving many of our country's major social transitions. A level playing field helps, and that is what Future Up is knocking on politicians' doors for. With a combination of idealism and realism, the platform provides politicians with concrete suggestions and solutions instead of pointing out what is going wrong.
"Large-scale market change does not occur at the margins, but at the core of the system. Future Up encourages companies to do business sustainably so that this market grows step by step," Van Wersch said. "This is why we still work with frontrunners but also focus much more on the broad middle group. If the early majority moves, the market moves with them."
Future Up's new name and corporate identity can now be found at www.futureup.nl.
These parties together create breakthrough in regenerative agriculture
For the first time, parties throughout the food chain have reached structural agreements on sourcing from a regenerative, natural farmer: 15 products from farmer Cornelis Mosselman are in the range at catering wholesalers Bidfood and Van Gelder Netherlands
This is why Future Up is hosting an agriculture debate
